PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy explains how Abdullah Al Masud (“I”, “me”, or “my”), a freelance web developer and designer based in Bangladesh, collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when you visit abdullahmasud.com, contact me, use the AM Client Portal at portal.abdullahmasud.com, or work with me as a client.

1. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR INFORMATION

I am responsible for the personal information collected through my portfolio website and the AM Client Portal. For any privacy question or request, email me at [email protected].

2. INFORMATION I COLLECT

  • Information you provide: your name, email address, company name, website URL, the service you are interested in, project details, and anything else you include in a message or contact form.
  • Client and project information: proposals, agreements, project files, content and brand assets you send me, messages, and communication related to your project.
  • Invoice and payment information: invoices, payment status, and bank transfer records. Payments are made by bank transfer. I do not ask for or store card details.
  • AM Client Portal account information: the email address I invite you with, and your login credentials. You choose your own password. I cannot see it.
  • Technical and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, timestamps, cookies, and security or diagnostic logs collected by my hosting and website tools. [Remove anything you do not actually collect.]
  • Please do not send sensitive personal information or passwords through the contact form or email. If something sensitive is needed for your project, we will agree on a secure way to share it.

3. HOW I USE YOUR INFORMATION

  • To reply to your enquiry and send automatic confirmation emails.
  • To prepare proposals, confirm projects, and deliver the agreed work.
  • To share progress, files, messages, and invoices through the AM Client Portal.
  • To keep business, accounting, tax, and legal records.
  • To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve my websites and the portal.
  • To prevent spam, fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • To send service-related messages about your project.

        I do not sell your personal information, and I do not use your details for advertising.

4. LEGAL BASIS FOR USING YOUR INFORMATION

Depending on your location, I use your information because you gave consent, because you asked me to take steps before a project begins, because it is needed to deliver an agreed project, because the law requires it (for example, financial records), or because of my legitimate interests in answering business enquiries and keeping my websites secure. You can withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect anything already done.

5. COOKIES AND ANALYTICS

My websites use essential cookies for security and functionality, such as keeping you logged in to the portal. I also use limited analytics to understand traffic and improve the site. You can control cookies in your browser settings. If you want to block third-party cookies, you can use a browser extension or add-on made for that purpose. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works.

6. HOW INFORMATION IS SHARED

  • I keep my third-party services to a minimum. The AM Client Portal runs on my own web hosting account: the portal application, the database, and the email system that sends account setup emails, one-time codes, and project emails are all hosted with my hosting provider. Your portal data is not sent to separate third-party database or email services.
  • I share information only when it is reasonably needed, and only with the few providers who help me run my work, such as my web hosting provider, analytics, and security tools. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices.
  • I may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect rights and safety.
  • Your portal information is visible only to you and me. Each client can see only their own projects, files, messages, and invoices.

7. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

I am based in Bangladesh. My hosting provider’s servers are located in United States, and my other providers may operate in other countries. Your information may therefore be processed outside your country. Where the law requires it, I use reasonable safeguards for these transfers.

8. HOW LONG I KEEP INFORMATION

  • Project data: kept permanently so I can support your project in the future. You can ask me to delete it at any time, and I will.
  • Invoices: kept permanently, so you can download them from your portal whenever you need them. Because they are financial records, I may need to keep them even after a deletion request.
  • Universal messages and files: messages that are not part of a project, the files attached to them, and files uploaded directly to the portal are automatically deleted after 120 days (4 months).
  • Project messages and files: never deleted automatically. They are part of project data and are kept permanently.
  • Contact form and email enquiries: kept for example 6 months after our last contact, unless a longer period is needed for an active project, a dispute, or a legal obligation.
  • Security logs: kept only as long as needed, based on my hosting provider’s settings.

9. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS

  • Depending on the law where you live, you may ask me to give you access to your personal information, correct it, delete it, restrict how I use it, or give you a copy. You may also object to certain uses, withdraw consent, or complain to your local data protection authority.
  • Email requests to [email protected]. I may need to confirm your identity first. I will confirm when your project data has been deleted. Some information, such as invoices, may be kept where the law allows or requires it.

10. ACCOUNT ACCESS AND SECURITY

I use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including secure logins, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and separate access for each client. Portal accounts are created by invitation only. The account email is fixed and cannot be changed, and you choose your own password. Please keep your login details private. No website or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If I learn of a problem affecting your data, I will tell you promptly.

11. CHILDREN

My websites and services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. I do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent me information, contact me and I will review and remove it.

12. THIRD-PARTY LINKS

My websites may link to other websites and platforms. Their privacy practices are covered by their own policies.

13. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

I may update this policy when my websites, services, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top shows the latest version.
